I’m Pretty in Pink – Sono Bella in Rosa

Sparkling Rosè wine 2023 is made with a selected blend of Pinot bianco, Verdiso and Merlot from vines in Premaor, Miane, Treviso, Veneto, Italy. Sono Bella in Rosa or I’m Pretty in Pink is bottled with indigenous yeasts, “sui lieviti” in Italian. This wine goes through a first fermentation in steel tanks at controlled temperatures, then bottled in the spring time following the harvest. With the warmer temperatures of spring the newly bottled wines finish the fermentation converting the residual sugar to CO2 to make a sparkling wine.  The Merlot grapes undergo a brief maceration/skin contact. We use naturally sun-dried grape must to start fermentation.

Verdiso is an indigenous white grape variety, cultivated mainly in the province of Treviso, in the jolly and welcoming region of Veneto. This grape variety is known for its high acidity, which makes it ideal for the production of fresh and sparkling wines, particularly as a minority component in the Prosecco DOCG blends from the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene. Verdiso gives wines floral aromas, notes of fresh fruit such as green apple and citrus fruits, as well as a pleasant minerality and a slightly bitter aftertaste.

The concept of AMIVINI started with a simple idea to make wines, in the most natural way possible, whilst promoting female wine makers. AMIVINI finds that the wine world is highly male dominated; incredibly so in Italy, and theu wanted to create a female orientated company making great wines with great women.
