Domaine Bernatas

In Limoux in the Pyrenean foothills, the Bernatas brothers work high-altitude vines in plot selection and strive to produce great local wines with respect for the land.

Here, biodynamic agriculture, observation of nature and a minimalist approach to winemaking allow them “to develop cuvées expressing the richness and diversity of the Limoux terroir.”

The whites, made from the Chenin, Chardonnay and Mauzac grape varieties, are impressively pure with their acidity and sparkling minerality. Controlled aging in tuns and barrels brings them roundness and complexity.

The reds are vinified in semi-carbonic and aged in stainless steel vats to preserve the gourmet and spicy side of the fruit. An invigorating mink of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Aramont.
