Anders Frederik Steen, a rising star in winemaking, began his journey in 2013 as a négociant with Jean-Marc Brignot. By 2017, he fully embraced winemaking in Valvignères, Ardèche, with his wife. They still source grapes from other producers but are expanding their own vineyards for independence. Steen’s approach is decidedly hands-on and traditional, eschewing modern additives and techniques in favor of a more natural process.
Here are grapes from their neighbor, Domaine du Mazel, known for its natural approach. This delightful blend of Grenache, Chardonnay, Cinsault, Syrah, and Merlot creates a refreshing, vibrant, rich flavors . With a little fizz, it’s perfect as an aperitif!
