Matassa is an ancient word meaning “forest” in Catalan. The winemaker Tom Lubbe is a South African-raised New Zealander who settled down in Calce, French Catalonia.
Pale color, fruity like cherries and raspberries. With a soft, umami-like flavor that sinks into your body.
