Societá Agricola Piero Busso, founded in 1953 by Piero’s father, is now run by Piero and his family, establishing itself as a top Barbaresco producer. Their vineyards in Albesani, Mondino, Gallina, and San Stunet benefit from optimal sun exposure and ideal soils. Piero employs a holistic, organic approach, certified from the 2019 vintage, with hand-harvested grapes carefully placed in small boxes. Each vineyard is vinified separately, using natural yeast and avoiding chemicals. Wines undergo slow maceration for up to 60 days, aged in large oak barrels, resulting in traditional yet approachable Barbarescos with soft tannins and elegant depth.
