Le Puy – Emilien 2019

This non-filtered wine is produced from vines planted with 85% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 1% malbec and 1% carmenere. Emilien is obtained by a 2-year decantation in foudres and used barrels.

Its nose is fruity with aromas of very ripe red fruits, mainly blackcurrants, currants and also burnt almonds, sometimes mushrooms, undergrowth. Its round, full, delicate mouth, velvety tannins with a long and pleasantly complex finish.

This wine, of great finesse, can be drunk young, thanks to the velvety tannins, or wait several decades to taste the full depth of the terroir.
