Cheverny Frileuse

The Cheverny Blanc “Frileuse” by Clos du Tue-Boeuf is a delightful white wine from France’s Cheverny region. Produced by the Puzelat family, it blends Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Fié Gris, each contributing one-third. Grown on a 3.8-hectare frost-prone site, the wine undergoes whole-cluster pressing and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Aged 8-9 months in used barrels, it’s bottled with minimal sulfur. Known for its white fruit flavors, floral notes, and fresh acidity, it pairs well with cheese. The wine reflects the family’s commitment to organic viticulture and unique winemaking.
